Bullitt’ Mustang back in Ford stable

The new Bullitt will have a 4.6-liter, 315-horsepower V-8, more aggressive shocks and struts and better brakes than a GT and an exhaust tone that Ford says matches the high-pitched rasp of the movie s cars. It will come only with a five-speed stick shift.

Ford Adds Glass Roof Option To Mustang Lineup

The 2009 Ford Glass Roof Mustang provides a third roof option for customers and responds to their growing desire for more natural light. Production of large sunroofs has increased nearly 200 percent in North America since 2003, according to Just-auto. The growth is driven, in part, by consumers’ daily commute time. The number of […]

Ford freshens up Mustang with wide, tinted glass roof

The expansive glass roof is made of tinted privacy glass, which cuts infrared rays to help keep the cabin cool. The treated glass will help prevent the interior from fading and being discolored through typical sun damage. It comes with a manual roller blind to block out light on sunny days. Ford said the […]

2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt, Day 1 EDITORS’ NOTEBOOK

I absolutely love this car, even though I know it’s pretty cheesy, [probably] way too expensive, and based on the now-aging current Mustang generation. It looks crazy sinister with its dark green paint and American Racing-style wheels, and the deletion of a spoiler and foglights streamline the package nicely. The standard Mustang exhaust note […]

The 540hp Ford Mustang GT500KR is going to be playing three different versions of KITT: the driverless version, a high-speed combat mode (dubbed KTT Attack), and a standard version of the hero car. Sounds a little far-fetched, but KITT s new abilities are granted to it courtesy of nanotechnology allowing it to shift the […]

1993 Ford Mustang Cobra

As we continue to observe and report on the Mustang hobby, it’s apparent that another generation of Mustangs is beginning to gain collectible status. After the final ‘73 model rolled off the assembly line, the era of vintage Mustangs was considered over. And while the Mustang IIs kept the flame alive, real excitement returned […]

Ford Rolls Out 2009 Glass-Roof Mustang

Taking its cue from consumers, Ford seems to be on a continual roll when it comes to offering derivatives of the pony car. Also due to hit showrooms in 2008 are the Mustang Bullitt and the Shelby GT500KR .

2009 Ford Mustang with Glass Roof

Why a glass-roof Mustang? Ford cites increased customer demand for more natural light in cars and trucks. Ford credits that demand for a 200-percent increase since 2003 for large sunroofs, like the one it offers in the Edge crossover. Ford further claims that among these customers are sports-coupe buyers, some 62 percent of whom […]

Ford Offers Glass Roof on Mustangs

A slew of questions and concerns spring to mind at the prospect of putting a sheet of glass above your head while driving, but Ford seems to have addressed most of them. According to Ford, the glass is built to have the same structural integrity as the roof as the coupe, and the material is […]
