Jason Keller Signed to Drive No. 27 Nationwide Series Ford
NASHVILLE Tn. Baker Curb Racing announced Monday that Jason Keller, a 17-year NASCAR Nationwide Series veteran, will drive the No. 27 Ford Fusion for the 2009 season. He will also finish out the 2008 season for the team. I am very thankful that Gary Baker and Mike Curb have given me this opportunity, said Keller. It is also a wonderful opportunity to represent such a first-class company like Kimberly-Clark and their family of brands.
Baker Curb Racing has some great guys working on their cars, and I am excited about working with them in 2008 as we build the program for a strong 2009 season. Keller, a native of Greenville, S.C., brings 450 starts, 10 wins and 11 poles to the Baker Curb team. He s the all-time leader in starts in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. I was in attendance at O Reilly Raceway Park when Jason notched his first victory in the Nationwide Series, said Mike Curb, team owner.
Watching his consistency through the years, Jason brings a combination of talent and experience that takes our team to the next level. Baker Curb Racing, based out of Nashville, joined together Gary Baker and Mike Curb, both prominent names in the Music City and in NASCAR. Purchasing Brewco Motorsports in late 2007, Curb and Baker moved the team to Nashville to give the city its own hometown race team.
What Jason brings to the Baker Curb team is a veteran with success, said Gary Baker, team owner. He has a solid reputation and is respected on and off the track. He is one of the most successful drivers in the Nationwide Series and having him behind the wheel of the No. 27 Kleenex Ford Fusion will help strengthen our team and push us in the development of our cars and technology.
