It’s Ford time

Anyone who believes Jerry Abramson can and will make a difference in this situation is living in a dream world. Duirng the Mayorla election in 2006 I spoke about the seriousness of Ford closing and the effetcs of many other non Ford workers in our community that will lose jobs because of it. Ford announced it’s Way Forward plan in January 2006 and this Mayor did not see it necessary to speak with them at that time.

As a matter of fact he waited until August of 2006 nearly 8 months later and during the peak political time of course to get involved in discussions. Why is this relevant you may ask? SImple when we had the chance to be partners with Ford at the onset and showing goodwill he ignored it. That gave Ford plenty of time to have more contingency plans that did not include Louisville. This did not give Ford confidence in Louisville as a result of our leadership.

We, through our Mayor, showed we were not partners in our shared success.
