Ford links pop phenom Chris Brown with sync
: Ford Motor Company has linked Jive recording Pop Phenom Chris Brown with Sync; Ford’s industry-exclusive, voice-activated hands free in-car communications and entertainment system. The partnership, which includes Ford’s sponsorship of the Up Close Personal Holiday Exclusive Tour, is a chance for Ford to take its latest technology on the road and ultimately integrate some of the key features of the technology into the tour.
Radio and Television advertisements featuring Chris Brown will also play a role in the promotion of the relationship. “We are extremely excited about the opportunity to take Sync on a city-wide tour where it can be introduced to Chris’s fans in such cities as Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago and New York,” says Crystal Greene, Sponsorships Alliances Manager for Ford. “Chris is an amazing talent who offers us so much in terms of his energy and ability to capture a variety of audiences.
The integration of Sync into this tour is our chance to reach out to those who typically are on the cutting-edge as it relates to technology and trends; a great majority of whom are Chris’s fans.” Ford’s national promotion of the tour centers heavily on Sync and will include an official website, www.syncwithchrisbrown.com as well as full integration of the technology into each tour stop.
There will also be a national sweepstakes where one lucky fan can win an all-new fully loaded 2008 Ford Focus, customized by Hip Hop Guru of car customization Funkmaster Flex. The 24-city tour, which kicks off in Cincinnati in December and runs through January, will be promoted heavily on www.syncwithchrisbrown.com and will also include partnerships with local radio stations. “This integration is more than just signs and banners,” said Greene.
