Ford Investigates Faulty Valve Stems

NBC NEWS - More than a million Ford vehicles are the subject of a government investigation that concerns their tires and valve stems. A Ford spokesman says the investigation is looking at 12 different 2007 models. The possibly faulty valve stems are found on the Ford F-150, Mustang, Edge, Fusion, Expedition, Explorer, Focus and Escape and Mercury Grand Marquis, MKX, MKZ, and Milan. The stems came from Topseal Automotive, a subsidiary of Shanghai Baolong Automotive Corporation.

The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration has received 37 complaints about faulty valve stems, but there have been no reports of crashes or injuries.
